Charter Films Increases Coextrusion Capacity

(Superior, WI, May 4, 2009) Charter Films announces that their new W&H coextrusion line, installed in late December 2008 in their Superior, WI facility, is fully operational. With this increased capacity, Charter is able to continue to meet demanding delivery requirements, a key benefit that Charter's customers have come to rely on.

The new W&H coextrusion line is equipped with three individual extruders to offer customized film solutions. This additional capacity also enhances Charter's ability to service key markets, such as food and medical packaging. The line is equipped with state-of-the-art controls to optimize extrusion performance and product quality. New technology also provides efficiencies such as reduced energy costs, scrap and downtime, thus reducing manufacturing costs and assisting with Charter's sustainability efforts.

"This additional capacity sends a clear, positive message to our customers that Charter is a strong, stable supplier, even in these difficult economic times. We continue to grow and to expand our capabilities and we truly value the support of our loyal customers." said Brian Beuning, Director of Sales & Marketing for Charter Films.
